Consumer Reports praised the F-150 for its lighter aluminum body, which improves fuel economy, generous amounts of space, a quiet interior, abundance of standard features, excellent visibility, and advanced safety tech. They had very few qualms with the F-150, except that shoppers may want to skip the work truck-oriented XL for higher trims, which feature more content and nicer materials.Â
