Fresh information is slowly emerging about the upcoming 2024 Ford F-150, giving us a better glimpse of what to expect from this highly anticipated truck. Recent sightings in Michigan reveal notable changes to the front end across various trims. A number of F-150 Raptor and Raptor R pickups have been spotted on public roads without camouflage, and more recently, a Tremor pickup was seen cruising around without any coverings. In a recent development, Ford Authority photographers captured images of a base SuperCrew XL, showcasing a front end that bears resemblance to the Tremor model.Â
As expected, the 2024 Ford F-150 XL does away with chrome accents and LED fog lights. However, it does feature a grille and headlights that closely resemble those found on the Tremor variant seen earlier. Both models showcase new headlamp assemblies that have abandoned the signature lighting surrounding the assemblies in favor of edgework that extends around all sides of the grille. Interestingly, the signature lighting now appears to bisect each headlamp assembly. Furthermore, there is a revised front bumper with cutouts designed for the LED fog lights. It is worth noting that these sightings indicate that the Raptor and Raptor R models will sport their own unique grille and headlamp assemblies, departing from the 2023 lineup.Â
Moving to the rear of the vehicle, the tailgate remains unchanged, but the bumper receives some cosmetic tweaks. The most significant updates are seen in the revised taillights. The previous “C-clamp” design has been discarded in favor of a visual aesthetic similar to that of the Ford F-150 Lightning, although it is not an exact replica. The new taillights incorporate more red elements, reducing the clear sections reserved for the reverse lights.Â
While the exact changes across the 2024 Ford F-150 lineup are still unclear, it has been confirmed that modifications are planned for the center stack. Two new touchscreens are set to make their debut, including a landscape-oriented screen and a portrait-oriented setup. Additionally, there is evidence suggesting the inclusion of a multifunction tailgate in the lineup.Â
