Early this morning, both the recently revealed 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor and 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades landed on Ford’s official build and price site for the 2022 Ford Bronco. But that wasn’t the only update to this online tool, as the 2022 Ford Bronco Wildtrak is also gaining a new, very special option – FoMoCo’s H.O.S.S. (High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension) 3.0, which is only available on that particular trim level.

The H.O.S.S. 3.0 suspension system joins version 1.0, which is standard equipment on the 2022 Bronco Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Black Diamond, version 2.0, which is standard on the 2022 Bronco Badlands, Wildtrak, Everglades, and Sasquatch-equipped Broncos, and version 4.0, which comes standard on the 2022 Bronco Raptor

Ford’s H.O.S.S. 3.0 suspension is a bit of a hybrid between versions 2.0 and 4.0 and includes Fox 2.5-inch internal bypass dampers, the Ford Performance Severe-Duty upgraded steering rack from the Bronco Raptor, upgraded inner and outer tie rods, a rear stabilizer bar, and off-road competition-inspired spring rates.

A $2,515 option, equipping a 2022 Ford Bronco Wildtrak with the H.O.S.S. 3.0 suspension system also adds a host of other equipment including the new-for-2022 Capable powder-coated front bumper with tow hooks, a front steel bash plate, and integrated fog lamps. Additionally, the H.O.S.S. 3.0 option will only be available to unscheduled order holders for the 2022 model year, which is also the case with the 2022 Bronco Everglades. Meanwhile, most 2022 Bronco Raptor builds will also go to carryover 2021 Bronco reservation/order holders.

These additions arrive as Ford continues to battle a number of supply constraints related to the Bronco, including, most recently, paint protection film, which will only be available to order on 2022 Bronco Wildtrak models. Those that still want this feature on their Bronco can opt for Ford’s Accessory Paint Protection Film – which is the same kit that’s installed at the factory and can be added by any Ford dealer.
