2022 Ford Bronco Production Set For December 15th

My Post 2021 11 29t090318.315

While it seems like only yesterday that production of the sixth-generation 2021 Ford Bronco began at the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant, the time has come to move on to a new model year. Ford has already admitted that it will not be able to fill all 2021 Bronco orders for some time, and most unscheduled hardtop orders were also recently pushed to the 2022 model year. Those folks won’t have to wait much longer for 2022 Ford Bronco production scheduled to begin on December 15th, 2021.

2022 Ford Bronco production was originally scheduled to begin on December 13th but has been moved back just a couple of days. As always, these dates are subject to change, particularly in light of a number of recent supply chain issues, including the ongoing semiconductor chip shortage.

Those in line to purchase a 2022 Ford Bronco will find a number of changes for the new model year. This includes the addition of the Ford Bronco Raptor, Bronco Everglades, and Bronco Heritage. Two new exterior colors will also be available – Eruption Green and Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat – which replace the discontinued Antimatter Blue, Lightning Blue Metallic, and Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, while Cyber Orange is now available on all trims.

For 2022, customers can pair the Sasquatch Package with Ford’s seven-speed manual transmission. The 2022 Bronco also gains a new “Capable” front bumper, while the Heavy-Duty Modular bumper is now available on every trim level. A roof rack option has been added for four-door Sasquatch models, while the Wildtrak four-door has dropped its standard MIC hardtop for a soft top. Finally, as Ford Authority exclusively reported earlier this month, dealer-installed tube doors will be available by the end of the year. However, pricing for all Bronco models and some options are also set to increase in 2022.
