The Ford Mustang Mach-E has steadily seduced both the buying public and the automotive press since its launch in late 2020. Owners are extremely satisfied with Ford’s first dedicated electric vehicle, and Consumer Reports, the long-running data-driven publication, added it to its coveted recommended list and named the Mach-E its top 2022 EV pick within the span of a few short months. With 2022 Mach-E production completely maxed out, it should come as no surprise then, that according to iSeeCars, it remains one of the top 20 fastest selling vehicles in the United States.
According to the study, in March 2022, used examples of the Ford Mustang Mach-E took an average of 35.1 days to sell, and averaged $58,984 when they received financing. The days to sell for that period in time resulted in the Mach-E ranking 10th on the list, with the Tesla Model X (28 days), Tesla Model Y (29.5 days), Tesla Model S (34.4 says), and Tesla Model 3 (34.7 days) being the other fully electric vehicles to make the top 10. Interestingly enough, the Mazda 3 was the only non-electrified vehicle in the top 10, as the Honda Insight, Hyundai Ioniq hybrid, Toyota Prius Prime, and Chevrolet Volt were also among the fastest sellers.
Those interested in a pre-owned Ford Mustang Mach-E are likely to find they are mostly all-wheel drive equipped vehicles, since the first owners overwhelmingly opted for four-wheel traction. But given the red hot market for them, it will be quite some time before production matches demand. The company is currently ramping up production for the Mach-E, and is targeting a 200,000 annual target for output by middle 2023, which will be made possible by the company getting double the battery supply for it than it gets now.
