While the all-new, next-generation Ford Ranger has already launched in a handful of markets around the world, the redesigned pickup won’t be arriving in the U.S. until next year. As such, the 2023 Ford Ranger soldiers on in North America following minimal changes for the 2022 model year, including the addition of the new Splash Package and Splash Limited Edition. Now, sources familiar with the matter have said that the 2023 Ford Ranger will also be adding the new Splash Jungle Edition Package to its lineup, too.
The 2023 Ford Ranger Splash Jungle Edition Package will likely be the only limited-edition Splash Package for the new model year, as the Snow Edition, Forest Edition, and Sand Edition won’t be returning after each was produced in very limited quantities for the 2022 model year. Regardless, the new Jungle Edition Package is available on 2023 Ranger SuperCrew models equipped with the Lariat High (501A) equipment group only.
On the outside, the Ranger Splash Jungle Edition Package is easily distinguished from regular models thanks to the addition of its Eruption Green paint, which is the only way to get any sort of green exterior hue on the 2023 Ranger. That special finish is accentuated by a black mesh front grille with a Magnetic-painted surround, bars, and Eruption Green nostrils, as well as Magnetic door handles, fender vent surrounds, bumpers, mirror caps, and wheel lip moldings.
The Ranger Splash Jungle Edition rides on a set of 18-inch matte black wheels wrapped with different tires depending on how the pickup is configured – two-wheel drive models get 265/60R18 BSW all-seasons, four-wheel drive pickups are equipped with 265/60R18 BSW all-terrain tires, and both FX2 and FX4 Off-Road Package equipped models are fitted with 265/60R18 OWL all-terrains. An exposed bash plate is also included with the FX4 package, while black running boards are available as an option.
Inside the cabin, this new package adds a host of unique touches including Ash Gray accent stitching and carbon weave tuxedo stripes and bolsters for the leather-trimmed seats, which are eight-way power adjustable on the driver’s side and six-way on the passenger side. Those interested in the Jungle package will also need to know that it cannot be paired with the Tremor, Sport Appearance, Chrome Appearance, Black Appearance, or Splash packages, however. 2023 Ranger order banks opened up back on July 18th, 2022 while production is expected to begin on October 10th at the Michigan Assembly plant.
